Welcome to

The East Africa Emerging Public Interest
Advocates Programme (EAEPIAP)

We seek to address a critical gap in the promotion of social justice and human rights in the region through a strong and active network of social justice leaders of their respective communities as they embark on creating a fairer and more equal society.

We provide an opportunity to outstanding young advocates from the East African region including Kenya, Tanzania (mainland), Tanzania (Zanzibar), Uganda, South Sudan, Rwanda and Burundi to learn from leading public interest litigation experts, constitutional scholars, and researchers, judges of the various courts, advocacy practitioners, through a rigorous curriculum incorporating both in class and in court session for a period of six months.
